We're really proud of our  vegan menu, which is a local favorite with not just vegans, so we're over the moon to be recognized with a Gold Awards and the titles of "The Best Vegan Menu" and "The Best Vegetarian Restaurant" in Silicon Valley. But we're also thrilled that the Metro readers have awarded us a Silver medal in the "Best Happy Hour" and "Best Salads" categories. We strive to provide a welcoming environment for all eaters. According Adrienne Mitchel, the author of the article, the popularity of ghost kitchens is waning but some ghost kitchens, like Sunny's Food Hub in Sunnyvale are thriving with 28 new restaurants added to the area. Located at 1026 W. Evelyn Ave. in Sunnyvale, the Food Hub's tenants including Craft Roots Vegan Kitchen are citing low start-up costs as an attractive way to test out a new market and reach new customers. 

Excerpt from the article, "Vegan food that doesn’t taste vegan is what owner Justin Gaich aims to achieve with Craft Roots, a family-owned vegan restaurant established in Morgan Hill in 2019 ... This year, Gaich was ready to expand Craft Roots, but he wanted to test how it would do in a fast-casual setting, as opposed to his sit-down restaurant with a full bar in Morgan Hill." 

On September 29, 2024 7x7 Magazine published an article about a "little city boasts an impressive tally of wineries and trails that make for an easy weekend getaway." That's our community, here in Morgan Hill. 

The article features helpful guides on what to do, where to stay, and where to eat in Morgan Hill. We're pleased as punch that Craft Roots Vegan Bar and Grill was included in the dining options. According to the magazine,

Camera crews were on site at our Morgan Hill restaurant on Tuesday, October 1st, filming our very own Head Chef Tyler Graham. His culinary craftsmanship will be featured in a TV commercial for Three Feathers Farm and California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). The footage of Chef Ty creating a beautiful dish out of the produce from Three Feathers Farms may also be shown as part of a mini-documentary about local farmers growing organically.

The Morgan Hill Times has published their annual "Best of" poll results and Craft Roots has taken 11 honors in the 2021 edition. Craft Roots is now the newly crowned Best Restaurant in Morgan Hill amid some tough competition. Craft Roots has also been named Best Kid Friendly Restaurant, Best Family Restaurant, and Best Pet Friendly Restaurant (pets are family afterall!) We also can lay claim to the Best Cocktail, Best COVID Cocktail to go, the Best COVID Curbside Food To-Go, and the Best Server - that's Katie! If that weren't enough to brag about, we also have the Best French Fries, Best Locally-Made Food Product, and last but our favorite, Best Vegetarian Food!
